Leap Motion + MozVR
Beloola!
For the last 6 years Beloola have been hiding in France, working hard on their custom avatar environment, which recently gained WebVR support. Many observers have compared Beloola to avatar-centric Second Life or even Altspace VR. However, Beloola is different from in a few key ways. it is also one of the first businesses we’ve seen that is taking WebVR very seriously.

CEO Tom Gauthier describes Beloola as “the first WebVR platform to connect passionate people anywhere”. Any user, brand or company can create a custom 3D space thanks to a very intuitive builder tool inspired by the likes of Minecraft and The Sims. Beloola also allows the inclusion of nearly any content from the Web into the 3D scene: videos from YouTube, Twitter feeds, Instagram pics, Websites and even 360° content.
Beloola of course requires no additional download and it is instantly accessible on any device on which a browser can be run. Just share the URL and other users can meet you there. Beloola is highly focused on tribal experiences such as watching a football game while playing fantasy sports.

The Beloola team is now working on an API to enable 3D modelers to upload their own assets to the builder, as well as an SDK for developers to add animations, and even full features. We’ll keep you posted about their updates as it transpires!

Mozvr.com

“Today, in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Firefox, we are launching MozVR.com to help foster the emerging virtual reality Web. A VR website about VR websites"
MozVR is where we will share experimental VR Web experiences, provide resources, and showcase work from developers in the growing VR web community.
We’ve designed MozVR to be a “native VR” Web experience, made from the ground up for virtual reality. As one of the first websites of it’s kind, building it required that we come up with new solutions for the unique challenges of a fully immersive, three-dimensional medium. To make it easier for others to build their own VR websites, we are sharing these solutions on MozVR and GitHub, from source code, to tools, to tutorials.
